Hello {{Constituent First Name}}!
Discernment is central to the spiritual life, and thus, to spiritual guidance. It's the process by which you become curious about how you are being invited to respond to your ever-increasing awareness of the Divine Presence of God within the concrete particulars of your life. It's wondering: How am I being invited to participate ever more fully in the co-creative dance of Divine Love?
As you are discerning whether to join us in the Spiritual Guidance Training Program, I pray that you allow the process itself to draw you into deeper knowledge of your gifts and desires, of the nudges and invitations you feel at the deepest level of your being, and of the presence and activity of the Divine Mystery within your life.
Warmly,
Nicki Nelson
SGTP Coordinator
FOR FURTHER REFLECTION
Within the context of your own prayer, reflection, or spiritual guidance sessions, here are some questions that may support you in your discernment:
As you think back over other significant decisions you have made, what has the process looked like for you? What are you being invited to notice or learn from as you approach your discernment around the Spiritual Guidance Training Program?
Notice the desire that is animating your consideration of the Spiritual Guidance Training Program. Where do you feel it in your body? Do any emotions, images, or memories arise? What does this desire want you to know about it today? How is this desire drawing you deeper into relationship with Holy Mystery?
As you think of the Spiritual Guidance Training Program, what are you struggling with? What is getting in the way of acting on that desire? How are you invited to be in relationship with these realities? How are they impacting your discernment process?
As you hold both your desire and your hesitations, what emerges as your next right step?
